Download Termal OS. No agents.
Termal OS is a desktop app for your machine. Install nothing on your servers - it connects over plain SSH. Free forever for one server and one user. On first launch you create a local account; your email is only used to issue and validate your license (no cloud account, no telemetry of your fleet), and your server credentials never leave your machine. During the Preview you can manage up to 3 servers at no cost.

Verify what you downloaded.
The Windows and macOS builds are not code-signed yet, so your system cannot vouch for them. The SHA-256 fingerprint under each download button can: compute the hash of the file you downloaded and check that it matches. This matters most if you got the installer somewhere other than this site.
How to compute it
macOS shasum -a 256 Termal-OS-0.14.0-x64.dmg Windows certutil -hashfile Termal-OS-Setup-0.14.0.exe SHA256 Linux sha256sum Termal-OS-0.14.0.deb

Opening an unsigned build.
Termal OS is distributed directly from this site, not through the Apple or Microsoft stores. Your OS may warn you the first time - that's expected, and it only happens once.
macOS - right-click the app in Applications, choose Open, then confirm. Using Open from the context menu is what lets you bypass the first-launch block; double-clicking will not offer the option.
Windows - SmartScreen may show “Windows protected your PC”. Click More info, then Run anyway.
Linux - install and update from a terminal. The App Center / double-click does not reliably upgrade an existing install, so run:
If apt reports dependency errors, use sudo dpkg -i Termal-OS-0.14.0.deb && sudo apt -f install. Then launch “Termal OS” from your apps menu.
Good to know
Requirements
A desktop OS (Windows, macOS or Linux) and SSH access to your Linux servers - password or private key. Nothing to install server-side.
Update alerts
Termal tells you in-app when a new version ships, and you install it when it suits you. Silent background updates stay off until the builds are code-signed - pushing unsigned binaries to an app that holds your SSH credentials isn't a risk we'll take.
Your data stays home
Local-first by design: credentials are encrypted locally (AES-256-GCM) and never leave your machine. No cloud account required. How it works →
